Programme Overview

This internship programme is designed for young graduates that want to turn their passion for social impact into practical experience. Interns will be fully integrated into active project teams, and will contribute directly to initiatives focused on women and girls empowerment across Nigeria.

This is not an observational internship. You will have real responsibilities and will be able to see the direct impact of your work.

Available Roles

Programs Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of community development projects
  • Assist with capacity building and training activities
  • Support project monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • Liaise with community stakeholders and partner organisations

Communication and Advocacy Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication content and materials for programmes
  • Support advocacy campaigns and public engagement activities
  • Manage organisation social media and outreach
  • Document project impact and success stories

NGI 2026 Internship Programme Requirements

To qualify for this programme applicants must:

  • Hold a HND or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
  • Have fully completed NYSC
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Demonstrate a strong genuine passion for women and girls empowerment
  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills
