Programme Overview
This is an accelerated executive development programme, not an entry level internship. Over the 36 month period trainees will complete structured rotations across all key areas of the business, receive direct mentorship from Greenco’s senior executive team, and will be groomed specifically to take on leadership roles within the company.
This is one of the only graduate programmes in Nigeria that has a formal, guaranteed career progression path to executive level roles.
Available Greenco Agribusiness Management Trainee Tracks
There are two separate dedicated tracks available, each with a clearly defined career outcome:
Track A: Operations & Farm Management
- Focus: Farm operations, logistics, supply chain and production
- Core Responsibilities: Oversee field operations, manage production teams, optimize supply chain processes
- Defined Career Path: Chief Operations Officer (COO)
- Preferred Background: Prior experience in operations, logistics, farm work or production
Track B: Commercial & Business Management
- Focus: Sales, revenue management, financial planning and business development
- Core Responsibilities: Manage client relationships, track revenue, develop go to market strategies
- Defined Career Path: General Manager / Commercial Director
- Preferred Background: Prior experience in sales, finance or account management
Greenco Agribusiness Management Trainee Requirements
To qualify for this programme applicants must:
- Hold a BSc or HND in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Economics, Finance or any related field
- Have 0 – 3 years post graduate work experience
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate high levels of responsibility and accountability
- Be willing to travel frequently across Nigeria
- Have a genuine interest in agriculture and food systems
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
