The Jigawa State Government has officially opened the J-Tsangaya Recruitment Exercise 2026 under the Jigawa State Tsangaya Education Board (JSTEB).
The recruitment aims to strengthen the Tsangaya Education Programme, providing modern education, Islamic education, healthcare services, and environmental sanitation within Tsangaya (Almajiri) communities across Jigawa State.
Qualified and interested Jigawa State indigenes are invited to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal before the closing date.
J-Tsangaya Recruitment Positions
The recruitment covers several categories, including:
1. Modern Education Teachers
Applicants with:
- NCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed, B.Sc., B.A.)
- Other recognized teaching qualifications
will teach modern education subjects within Tsangaya schools.
2. Cleaning Personnel
Successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining clean and healthy learning environments across Tsangaya communities.
3. Health Personnel
Healthcare workers will provide basic medical services, health education, and support for children and residents in Tsangaya communities.
4. Alaramma (Islamic Teachers)
Qualified Alaramma will teach Qur’anic and Islamic education. Applicants with strong Islamic education backgrounds may also be considered even without formal academic qualifications.
J-Tsangaya Recruitment Requirements
To qualify for the 2026 recruitment exercise, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Must be an indigene of Jigawa State.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess the required qualification for the position applied for.
- Applicants for Alaramma positions may apply with recognised Islamic education qualifications even without formal certificates.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must be mentally fit.
- Must be willing to work in Tsangaya communities within Jigawa State.
