The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), in partnership with the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), is offering a 12-month paid fellowship for qualified Midwives and Nurses.

About the NMCN-NJFP Programme

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a Federal Government initiative implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It connects young Nigerian graduates with meaningful paid work placements across the country. In collaboration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), this targeted call aims to deploy licensed Nurses and Midwives to strengthen maternal and child health services in underserved areas. The programme combines practical clinical experience with professional development to improve healthcare delivery while providing structured employment for young health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH)
  • Support primary healthcare delivery in PHCs and General Hospitals

  • Maintain accurate patient records and support data reporting
  • Work under supervision while developing practical clinical skills

NMCN-NJFP Programme Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with current practising licence
  • Graduated between 2020 and March 2026
  • Must be 30 years old or younger at the time of application
  • Must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  • Committed to serving in assigned Primary Health Care Centres or General Hospitals
  • Strong interest in maternal and child health service delivery
