About Zamfara State Hospital Services Management Board

The Zamfara State Hospital Services Management Board (HSMB) is responsible for managing and improving healthcare delivery across the state. Through this recruitment, HSMB aims to strengthen its workforce with qualified Nurses and Midwives to enhance Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) services, especially in rural and underserved communities. The fully online recruitment process ensures transparency, fairness, and efficiency in selecting the best candidates.

Available Positions

Nurses
Responsibilities

  • Provide general nursing care and support in hospitals and PHCs
  • Assist in patient management, medication administration, and health education

Midwives
Responsibilities

  • Offer antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care services
  • Support maternal and child health programmes in communities and facilities

Key Requirements (Both Roles)

  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient care
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
  • Willingness to work in rural and urban health facilities across Zamfara State

Zamfara State Nursing and Midwifery Recruitment Requirements

  • Must be a Zamfara State citizen by birth with a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Age between 18 and 40 years
  • Physically and mentally fit for duty
  • No criminal record or history of dismissal from public service
  • For Nurses: RN Certificate or B.Sc Nursing from an NMCN-accredited institution + valid practising licence
  • For Midwives: RM Certificate from an NMCN-accredited institution + valid practising licence
  • Minimum of 5 credits in O’Level (including English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry & Physics) in not more than 2 sittings
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter (for B.Sc holders)
  • Foreign-trained applicants must provide Adaptation Course Certificate
