Job Description
Moniepoint is hiring a Data Entry Officer (South East) to support merchant onboarding by accurately entering and maintaining product catalogues, inventory records, pricing data, and customer profiles within the Moniebook platform. Working closely with the Onboarding team and Account Managers, you will ensure data readiness for fast go-lives, reliable reporting, and a smooth retail customer experience, with success measured by accuracy, turnaround time, and operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Input, update, and maintain merchant product catalogues, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, and customer profiles
- Process bulk data imports from spreadsheets/CSV files and validate formats before upload
- Ensure records meet Moniebook data standards and naming conventions
- Prepare merchant accounts ahead of onboarding by populating required data within timelines
- Review merchant-submitted templates for errors/missing fields and follow up to resolve gaps
- Support setup of catalogue structures, tax configurations, and payment settings as directed
- Perform data quality checks to remove duplicates and correct outdated/incorrect entries
- Cross-check data across spreadsheets, CRM, and POS backend systems for consistency
- Document anomalies and route issues to relevant teams for resolution
- Maintain data entry logs, import logs, and correction history in the CRM
- Contribute to process documentation and recommend workflow improvements
- Fulfil ad-hoc data requests from onboarding, account management, and support teams within SLAs
Required Qualification and Skills
- 1–3 years experience in data entry, data operations, or similar role (SaaS/retail tech/fintech preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to maintain high accuracy on large data volumes
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (data cleaning, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Familiarity with CRM tools and/or POS/back-office SaaS platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Preferred: experience with bulk CSV imports, data migration, or catalogue management
- Preferred: exposure to retail operations, inventory systems, or point-of-sale platforms
- Must be based in Awka or Onitsha (preferred)
