KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation Nigeria is scaling up active TB case finding in Katsina State under the USAID TB LON project. We are urgently seeking a dynamic and experienced TB Advisor to lead private sector engagement, community hotspot interventions, and drive dramatic increases in TB notifications across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of targeted community active TB case finding in identified hotspots across all LGAs
  • Drive private sector engagement and scale up the PPM (Public-Private Mix) model
  • Mentor State TB program staff, KNCV strategic providers, and private practitioners
  • Conduct regular site mentorship and quality improvement visits
  • Coordinate with religious/community leaders, patent medicine vendors, and private clinics
  • Ensure all interventions align with NTBLCP guidelines and KNCV standards
  • Facilitate inter-sectoral collaboration with other disease programs
  • Support hotspot mapping, data analysis, and operational research
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting

Required Qualification and Skills

  • MBBS + Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in TB control or public health programming
  • Proven track record in community-based and private sector TB interventions
  • Experience with USAID, Global Fund, or other major donor projects is a strong advantage
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong data analysis and operational research capabilities
  • Experience in community mobilization and working with religious/traditional leaders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (Hausa proficiency highly desirable)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
