Job Summary
The Packing Assistant will play an essential role in warehouse operations by ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, labeled, and prepared for shipment with accuracy and care. The ideal candidate will follow warehouse procedures, maintain organized workspaces, and contribute to efficient inventory and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking & Packing
- Pick customer orders accurately using packing lists.
- Verify products and quantities before packaging.
- Pack goods securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Ensure every package meets company quality standards.
Labelling & Dispatch
- Label all packages correctly according to company procedures.
- Move completed orders to the designated dispatch area.
- Ensure orders are ready for timely shipment and delivery.
Warehouse Operations
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor immediately.
- Record completed packing activities using warehouse documentation or systems.
- Organize packing materials and finished orders efficiently.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized packing environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.
Professional Qualification
- Training in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Packaging, or Inventory Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse operations, packing, inventory management, or a related role.
Age Requirement
- Applicants should be between 20 and 35 years old.
Required Skills
Successful candidates should possess:
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and packing operations.
- Ability to read and interpret packing lists accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to pack goods safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills (an added advantage).
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
