Job Description
Access Bank PLC is hiring an Application Support professional in Lagos to support IT Wholesale/Tech Operations in a high-availability banking environment. The role focuses on ensuring stability and performance of enterprise applications, supporting service operations, and troubleshooting issues across application servers and databases while providing 24/7 operational support coverage when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for enterprise applications within IT Wholesale/Tech Operations
- Monitor application performance and availability in a high-availability environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues
- Support database-related checks and queries across SQL Server/MySQL environments
- Work with application servers and supporting infrastructure to ensure uptime and stability
- Participate in change management, deployments, and release support activities
- Provide documentation and operational support updates to relevant stakeholders
- Support 24/7 operations coverage as required by the business
Required Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operational/Numeric Science or related discipline
- 3–5 years experience in IT application support, service management, or IT operations (banking/fintech/tech environment preferred)
- Certification in IT Service Management and/or MCP/OCP (required)
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, and application servers
- Ability to work in a 24/7 high-availability production environment
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
