Job Description
A leading Nigerian retail bank is recruiting Relationship Officers, Retail Sales to drive deposit mobilization and sales of retail banking products across multiple locations. The role focuses on acquiring and managing retail customers, cross-selling relevant products and services, executing call plans, and delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with banking standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail customers in assigned market
- Market, sell, and cross-sell the bank’s retail products and services
- Drive branch sales performance and deposit growth through effective marketing activities
- Implement call plans and follow up on customer needs to improve engagement and retention
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and generate referrals
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and support compliance and quality reporting
- Support and coach account officers to achieve set business targets
Required Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline (Master’s/professional certification is an advantage)
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in retail banking, sales, or relationship management
- Good understanding of Nigerian retail banking market and banking operations
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reporting
- Result-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work with targets
