KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation Nigeria is recruiting a reliable, safety-conscious, and organized Project Driver to support field logistics for its TB control activities across Rivers State. The Project Driver will be central to staff and materials mobility, ensuring safe, punctual transport while maintaining professional documentation and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely convey project staff to field sites within and outside project locations
  • Conduct daily inspections and ensure the vehicle is clean, secure, and road-ready at all times
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks with fuel purchases and mileage duly recorded
  • Submit monthly vehicle maintenance reports to the Logistics Officer
  • Coordinate routine servicing and immediately report faults or servicing needs
  • Update and monitor vehicle documentation and regulatory particulars
  • Support airport pick-up/drop-off for staff and authorized visitors
  • Prioritize safety, observe defensive driving protocols, and protect passengers during travel
  • Assist logistics documentation and support mobility for project commodities as requested

Required Qualification and Skills

  • SSCE or ND qualification
  • Valid driver’s license for assigned/official vehicle categories
  • Minimum 5 years safe driving experience (NGO/health program experience is a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of basic auto mechanics and vehicle reporting
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality
  • Calm, reliable, and capable of working under pressure while meeting schedules
