Access Bank PLC is recruiting a Software Engineer in Lagos to design, build, and support software solutions that enable efficient and secure banking operations. The role requires strong programming fundamentals, experience with modern languages and databases, and the ability to apply data structures and algorithms to solve real business problems within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services
  • Write clean, efficient, and secure code using modern programming languages
  • Work with databases and data structures to support scalable application performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system reliability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices and tooling

Required Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in programming (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C# or similar)
  • Strong understanding of databases, data structures, and algorithms
  • Good knowledge of IT from both software and hardware perspectives
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
